Behind the structural integrity of Zanardo products stems from decades of deep industry experience, continuous research & development, and meticulous attention to detail.
When it comes to electrical cabinets, safeguarding critical control logic in harsh environments is quite essential. Achieving this level of protection requires far more than assembling parts, it demands a rigorously structured process.
From raw sheet metal processing to final quality control, we guide you into high-performance enclosure solutions across 7 core steps:
- Tailored engineering & programming
Every project begins with technical analysis and 3D representation. In this initial phase, the designs are broken down into individual components to establish the structural layout and production workflow, customizing dimensions to fit specific plant requirements.
This phase incorporates all custom requirements: custom cutouts, dedicated door openings, and thermal management prep. Built on 50 years of experience, Zanardo provides engineering support that resolves bottlenecks and plays a preventive role during installation.
- High-precision laser cutting
Once the 3D model is approved, the metal sheets move to the cutting department. The use of the latest laser machines guarantees sharp edges without imperfections, which leads to a very precise cut.
This accuracy is essential to maintaining perfect geometric alignment across the frame. A crucial prerequisite for achieving an flawless IP ingress protection rating against dust and liquids. - Structural bending & forming
The cut sheets are fed into press brakes and depending on the dimensions, steel thickness, and design type (monobloc, modular, or free-standing), the metal undergoes a calculated bending sequence to maximize mechanical rigidity.
Bend precision directly dictates how well the cabinet withstands external stresses, enabling the sheet metal frame to carry heavy internal loads without micro-deformation. - Welding: seamless structural integrity
In addition to automated systems, Zanardo S.p.A. utilizes manual laser welding performed by highly skilled technicians. This process produces continuous, clean weld seams with minimal heat input, preventing thermal distortion and eliminating weak points at the root.
The result is a heavy-duty cabinet engineered to endure dynamic forces in seismic zones and high-vibration industrial environments. - Surface coating & cataphoresis
Beyond standard powder coating, Zanardo relies on one of the most advanced processing plants globally, built around an industry-leading cataphoresis line.
Through an electrochemical dip process, a uniform protective layer is applied across all internal cavities to ensure superior resistance to moisture, salinity, and chemical pollutants.
Consequently, this treatment positions our enclosures as the benchmark for outdoor, marine, and heavy industrial environments.
- Pre-assembly of internal components
Zanardo offers custom pre-assembly for internal frames, rails, and climate control accessories. Non-essential components can be left out of the final package to prevent unnecessary clutter during installation.
- Final assembly & testing: the "ready-to-use" solution
In the final manufacturing phase, the cabinet structure is completed with doors, high-performance sealing gaskets, mounting plates, and locking systems.
Every unit is delivered fully assembled and factory tested to eliminate on-site assembly issues: the enclosure arrives at the facility ready for immediate wiring and component integration.
From raw material to site: the power of an integrated supply chain
Meticulous attention to detail is what makes Zanardo S.p.A. an industry leader, transforming raw sheet metal into high-performance structural enclosures.
From raw material sourcing to European logistics and warehousing, every step in our supply chain is engineered to protect the technological core of industrial automation.
